As a QA Engineer you'll be responsible for promoting a culture of quality by participating, either as executor or as support for others, in requirement analysis, test planning, test strategies creation, test scenarios definition, and test automation. Also responsible for ensuring the development process and its execution meet the quality requirements. The QA chapter defines the quality standards and processes that must be followed by the rest of the team.
Some of the tools we use at Kueski are Selenium, Apium, and Cucumber. About programming languages, we work with Ruby and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to design and build automation suites that fulfill the functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write and execute test plans and guide others to execute them.
- Define and implement testing strategies.
- Code reviewing.
- Track quality assurance metrics.

Position Requirements (Experience & Competencies)
- The ideal candidate has experience defining and implementing test strategies and test plans that consider the different levels of testing.
- Experience building automation framework.
- Automation testing experience (creation and maintenance of scripts, test data, etc).
- Experience with mobile testing is a plus.
- Experience working with developers and other team members to define test strategies, technologies used, and best practices.
- Ability to manage and communicate software defects.
- Experience with software risk assessment and decision-making processes.
- Ability to undertake and lead medium to complex projects that require multiple iterations and different technologies.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proficiency in tracking quality assurance metrics.
- Experience estimating, prioritizing, and planning testing activities.
